2. Delivery Locations

United Kingdom

We deliver across the United Kingdom, including the Highlands and Islands.

  • Delivery services and lead times may vary depending on item size, weight, and fragility

  • Shipping may be included in product pricing where stated ("what you see is what you pay")

  • Any additional charges (if applicable) will be shown at checkout

International Delivery

We may offer international delivery to selected countries.

  • Available shipping options and charges are shown at checkout

  • Not all products may be eligible for international delivery

3. Duties, Taxes and VAT (International Orders)

International orders may be shipped on a Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU) basis.

This means:

  • You are responsible for any import duties, customs charges, taxes, or handling fees in your country

  • These must be paid before delivery is completed

We will ensure parcels are correctly labelled with customs documentation, but delays may occur due to customs processing, which is outside our control.

Where applicable, UK VAT may be removed at checkout. You may then be required to pay VAT or equivalent taxes in your country prior to delivery.

We strongly recommend checking local import charges before placing an order to avoid unexpected costs.

4. Product Compliance (International Orders)

Some electrical products supplied by Ambientco are British Standards compliant.

  • Products may be supplied with UK (British Standard) plugs

  • Adaptors may be required for use outside the UK

Products are tested in line with UK and EU standards; however, if you are ordering outside these regions, you are responsible for ensuring compatibility, compliance, and safe use in your country.

5. Dispatch and Delivery

Dispatch Confirmation

Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you a confirmation email with your dispatch date and tracking details (where available).

Delivery Estimates

We work hard to meet estimated delivery dates, but these are not guaranteed.

Delays may occur due to:

  • Courier network issues

  • Supplier or production lead times (including made-to-order items)

  • Weather or external disruptions

We are not liable for delays outside our reasonable control, but we will keep you informed where possible.

Grouped Deliveries

To reduce emissions, packaging waste, and costs, we may group items into a single shipment.

  • Orders will typically dispatch once all items are available

  • If you require split delivery, please contact us before placing your order

6. Shipping Charges

UK Orders

  • Shipping is often included in the product price where stated

  • Any exceptions will be clearly shown at checkout

International Orders

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and order contents

We reserve the right to update shipping charges at any time. Changes will not affect confirmed orders.

7. Missed Deliveries

If delivery is attempted and you are unavailable, the courier may offer options such as:

  • Rearranging delivery

  • Leaving the parcel in a safe place (where available)

  • Delivering to a neighbour or collection point

  • Collection from a depot

Please note:

  • We are not responsible for additional courier charges resulting from missed deliveries or changes to delivery instructions

  • After repeated failed delivery attempts (typically three), your order may be returned to us and cancelled

  • In such cases, return shipping and handling costs may be deducted from any refund

8. Risk and Ownership

Ownership of goods passes to you once payment has been received in full and the goods have been delivered to your specified address.

From the point of delivery (including where parcels are left in a location authorised by you), the risk of loss or damage transfers to you.

9. Liability

We are responsible for delivering your goods to the address provided at checkout.

We are not liable for:

  • Delays caused by couriers or external factors beyond our control

  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information provided by you

  • Customs delays, duties, or additional charges on international orders

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
