Johannes Hemann innovatively merged traditional bent wood methods with pressure in his "pressed wood" series, altering its appearance. Initially, pressure is applied to freshly cut wood to separate its fibers. Then, traditional bending involves steaming and molding the wood. Finally, fibrous wood, bound with glue, is pressed into molds. This fiber division allows for greater versatility in shaping, such as achieving smaller radii or transforming a round base into a rectangular or any desired shape.
